Why prerequisites matter
Cloud adverts in Ghana rarely ask for cloud skills alone. They ask for Linux, networking, scripting and Git as well, because the cloud is built out of those things. If you skip them, cloud consoles feel like magic buttons and interviews expose the gaps quickly. If you have them, the cloud becomes a set of familiar ideas with a new interface.
SydCrest teaches those foundations in two other tracks, so this lesson points you to them instead of teaching them twice.
Route one: from IT support
If you come from the IT support track, check that you are comfortable with:
- Linux basics: files, folders, users and simple commands.
- IP addresses and DNS: how devices find each other.
- Network troubleshooting: using ping and traceroute to find where a connection breaks.
- Accounts and access and backups.
