Before you apply to the DMP cohort, or to an entry level job that asks for basic digital skills, it helps to check honestly what you can already do. This checklist covers what DMP week 1 assumes, plus the everyday skills from the rest of this roadmap. It is not an exam. It is a way to find any small gaps so you can fix them before they slow you down.
How to use the checklist
For each item, do it for real, right now if you can, rather than just thinking "I can probably do that". Mark each one:
- Yes: I did it without help.
- Nearly: I did it but needed to look something up.
- Not yet: I could not do it.
Device and data
- I can connect to WiFi, and on a phone I can switch mobile data on and off.
- I can free up storage and manage which apps use my data.
- I can install an app from the official store and check its permissions.
Communication
- I can answer a call professionally and take a complete message.
- I can send a clear WhatsApp message and share a PDF as a Document.
- I can join a video call from a link, mute and unmute, and turn my camera on and off.
- I can write a short, polite message in clear English.
