Why this matters
Many CVs say "proficient in Microsoft Office". Employers know that line means very little. What makes you stand out is evidence: a clean report they can open, a dashboard they can click, a short explanation of how you turned messy data into a decision. This final section helps you turn the work you have done in this track into that evidence, and choose where to go next.
What this section covers
- A portfolio of office reports: two or three finished pieces, built on open or invented data, presented with screenshots and a short write up, so an employer can see your skills in a few minutes.
- Jobs, certifications and next steps: the kinds of roles these skills fit, optional certifications and when they are worth it, and how to grow into SQL and Python through the Data Analyst track.
Show, do not just tell
Compare two applications for an M&E assistant post:
- One says: "Advanced Excel, Power BI, data analysis."
- The other says: "Built a monthly activity report for a youth programme (sample data): cleaned 400 survey rows with Power Query, summarised by district with PivotTables, and presented a one page report with key numbers against target. Link to PDF and screenshots."
The second gives the employer something to check and something to ask about in an interview. That is what this section aims for.
