Once you can run one page well, you may take on two, three or four small clients on monthly fees. This is a common way to earn as a freelance page manager. It is also where people get into trouble: posting the wrong client's content, missing messages, mixing up logins or burning out. Good systems prevent all of these.
One system per client, the same shape every time
For each client, keep the same set of things in the same place:
- A folder in your cloud drive with the brief, style guide, content plan, approvals, insights sheet, inbox log and monthly reviews.
- A plan for the month, with pillars and scheduled dates.
- An access record: which platforms, what level of access, granted on what date, and by whom.
- A contact sheet: who approves posts, who handles orders and complaints, and the backup contact.
Use the same folder names and file layout for every client. When you open any client's folder, you know where everything is.
Avoid posting to the wrong page
Posting one client's offer on another client's page is a common, embarrassing mistake. Reduce the risk:
- Before you publish or schedule, check the page name and profile picture shown in the tool.
- Work on one client at a time, in a block of time, then close everything before switching.
- In Meta Business Suite, check which business portfolio and page are selected at the top before you start.
