Why this matters
When Ghanaian and remote adverts mention AI, the jobs themselves are usually familiar: virtual assistant, content writer, social media officer, admin assistant, customer support, research assistant. What has changed is that employers expect these people to use AI to work faster. A virtual assistant who can turn a messy voice note into a clean email, summarise a long report into five points and fix a broken spreadsheet formula in minutes is worth more than one who cannot.
This section is about those everyday tasks. Each one is a skill you can practise on a phone or a computer and show to an employer or client.
The five topics in this section
- Writing and editing with AI. Drafting and polishing emails, WhatsApp messages, CVs, reports and social posts, while keeping your own voice and only stating what is true.
- Summarising and research. Turning long documents, notes and reports into clear summaries, and using AI to plan research without trusting it blindly.
- Spreadsheets and data help. Getting formulas explained or suggested, cleaning messy lists and reading tables, then testing everything on real rows.
- Images and visuals (optional). Using AI image tools for illustrations and ideas, knowing their weaknesses and labelling AI images honestly.
- Translation and local languages. Using AI translation for English and Ghanaian languages as a first draft, then checking with fluent speakers.
