Making a good video is half the job. The other half is putting it in the right place, in the right form, for the right people, and learning from how they respond. Ghanaian adverts for social media content roles ask for platform management, live streaming and audience engagement. Remote roles add YouTube uploads and search friendly titles.
Platforms are different rooms
Think of each platform as a different room with its own crowd and habits:
- TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts favour short vertical videos that hook fast. Content can reach people who do not follow you yet.
- YouTube favours longer, useful videos that people search for, such as tutorials, reviews and stories. A good video can keep finding viewers for years.
- Facebook remains important for many Ghanaian businesses, churches and community groups, including older audiences.
- WhatsApp Status and groups reach people who already know you. For many local businesses this is where sales actually happen.
You do not need to be everywhere. Choose one or two platforms where your audience already spends time, and do them well.
Repurposing
One shoot can serve several platforms. A ten minute YouTube tutorial can become three short clips for Reels and TikTok, a few photos for Facebook and a Status update. Editors who can cut long videos into shorts are in demand in remote job adverts. Repurposing saves time and data.
