When a sales manager reads fifty CVs for one telesales post, most say the same things. A short, real portfolio of sales work makes you memorable and gives the interviewer something specific to ask about. You have already built most of it in this track.
A one page sales portfolio
Gather your best pieces into one shareable document or folder, such as a Google Doc or Google Drive folder with view access. Include:
- A recorded practice call. Two to three minutes, using your call script with a friend playing the customer. Upload it to a free cloud drive and share a link. Get your partner's permission to record.
- A sample pipeline. A screenshot of your practice CRM or spreadsheet with invented data, showing stages, next steps and a short weekly report.
- An objection handling sheet. Your honest LAER responses to common objections.
- Outreach samples. One email and one WhatsApp message with a follow up.
- A real selling story. A short write up of something you actually sold.
Writing your real selling story
Many young people have sold something: phone credit, farm produce, shea butter, clothes, snacks at school, tickets for a church event. Write it up in four parts:
- Situation. "My aunt makes groundnut oil in Walewale but sold only at the weekly market."
